This is to compare the SDR and HDR mode shooting a video over the city and ocean at sunset time. The details of the building, the light reflection from the glass curtain wall and the sea are putting these modes in some good tests. The SDR mode is already performing pretty good under this kind of bright light condition. The HDR mode can retain more details at the shadows and the highlight areas but it also comes with higher noise level, which can be corrected in post production editing. In summary, SDR is more natural with more contrast. HDR retains more details and a bit flat.
