This aerial view over Fribourg takes you over the Chapelle de la Lorette which was build in 1647. Built on a hill opposite to the city of Fribourg it offers a magnificient view of the city and its surroundings. The short clip also shows you the the old town of Fribourg with the Roman catholic Cathedral of Saint Nicolas built between 1283-1490. The city is also the capital of the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. The city itself was founded by Berthold the IV, Duke of Zähringen, in 1153. Through the lower city flows the river Saane, also known as La Sarine.
