STOOS – RAILWAYS 4K

The new funicular Schwyz – Stoos is the steepest in the world, with its wagons, unique  in it’s  barrels  shape.

The old funicular was used for 84 years 1933 – 2017. It took 5 years for the new route. A technical marvel that makes the journey a unique experience of its kind KM 1.5447 long with a difference in height of 744 meters maximum slope 110 degrees, with a journey time of about 6 minutes.

Upon arrival you will find a  small village with restaurants and Hotel, and you will be directly on the ski slopes.
