Denver, the capital of Colorado, is an American metropolis whose foundation dates back to the Old West . Larimer Square, the oldest part of the city, is characterized by nineteenth-century buildings. Among the museums are the Denver Art Museum, an ultra-modern complex famous for its collections of indigenous works, and the residence of the famous survivor of the Titanic tragedy: Molly Brown. Denver is also the access point for the ski resorts in the nearby Mountains.
