Denti della Vecchia – Val Colla (CH)
The Denti della Vecchia are a group of mountains in the Lugano Prealps, between Switzerland (Colla valley) and Italy (Valsolda). The “Sasso Grande”, which reaches 1,492 m a.s.l., is the most striking of the limestone flagpoles that make it up. They are also referred to as “organ pipes”. Main support refuges for group excursions are the Pairolo Hut and the hut located at Alpe Bolla.
