CHURCH OF SAN PELLEGRINO

The building facing east is completed by a polygonal choir, with a side chapel. The church, consecrated in 1345, was formerly preceded by a portico under which the road passed [4]. In the 16th century it was enlarged, the arches of the portico were buffered, the walls of the nave were raised and the cross vaults were set; in 1591 the chapel dedicated to the Madonna was added. In 1923 the internal walls and vaults of the west wall of the nave and side chapel, with frescoes from the years 1589-1592, were painted by Pompeo Maino (1883-1944),
