BREBENNO – VALTELLINA

Berbenno is a small Italian town in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy. Located in the Imagna Valley, it is about 24 kilometers north-west from the Orobic capital.

The town boasts an ancient history. The first remains of human presence in fact date back to the Copper Age, as can be seen from the recent discovery of human burials, including bones and related funeral furnishings, which took place in the cave called Büs del cunì.

However, it is assumed that the territory was inhabited also in Etruscan times and by the Cenomani Gauls, shortly before the arrival of the Romans.
